Programs:

Monday, 17.05.2021:

The project week started at 9 a.m. with the presentation of the participants on the MS Teams platform. The Swedish colleague then presented the work program for the week and the teachers at the five locations began to optimize and print out the CAD drawings from the last Erasmus week in March 2021. The participants agreed to meet in a virtual daily meeting. After measuring and checking most of the measurements, they cut the various boards and panels for the cloakroom and wall cladding. The coated panels were given a circumferential edge and the suspension for the mirror, body and coat hooks were attached. The team from Lübeck was able to attach the mirror and the drawer to the cloakroom and assemble the entire cloakroom in the meeting room.

Tuesday, 18.05.2021:

A new presentation of all groups in the morning served to determine the materials, types of wood, colors and the distribution of the dimensions for the wall cladding. The materials for the substructure of the cloakroom and the wall cladding were formatted and given drill holes for attachment to the wall. The veneer panels as base panels for the wall cladding were stained in blue and after the 32 boards had been formatted, the edges were bevelled for design reasons. In the early afternoon the boards could be painted with white varnish.

Wednesday, 19.05.2021:

The entire group was able to present the results of the work so far in virtual meetings and the two designers were very satisfied with the choice of colors, shapes and proportions. The lacquered boards were attached to the existing board with screws according to the dimensions of the CAD drawing. In the afternoon, the teachers were able to set up the wall cladding in the workshop as a trial and check whether the dimensions and the color effect were coordinated.

The boards and panels produced were transported to the customer with the substructure. The room and the two walls were checked for angularity and measurement. The substructure was attached to the wall with dowels and the hanging strips were mounted on the wall cladding. In the afternoon, the wall cladding could be hung into the substructure. The participants were able to record the profile for the end strip and manufacture and format two end strips in the workshop.

Thursday, 20.05.2021:

Friday, 21.05.2021:

After the virtual meeting of the entire group, the teachers were able to cut the end strip for the wall cladding and attach it to the wall cladding with little glue. The two projects were created and completed within a week. At the final meeting, the participants were very satisfied with the project work carried out and the designers only found words of praise for the good design of the cloakroom and wall paneling.

Acquired skills for trainers and teachers:

The teachers have to monitor the measurements from the drawings and modify the drawings, materials and colors according to their own ideas. Competencies for examining the room layout and the wall structure are required. In the production of the wall cladding and the cloakroom, they learn the many skills in the field of construction and material processing. They have their skills in the design of indoor relationship values.
